In Early 1974, S.A.H.B Recorded A New Studio Album In London With legendary US Producer-Shel Talmy. This Album Centred On New Songs Based Around The Hot City Symphony. The Album Was Shelved At The last Minute Even Though The Whole Album Had Been Recorded And Mixed. Most Of The Song Titles Eventually Showed Up On The Official Album 'The Impossible Dream' Later That Year With A Different Producer On Board And The Songs Changed Dramatically. You Can Now Hear How The Album Sounded With The Original Versions Of These Songs. SAHB Fans Will Be Totally Surprised And Amazed At The Different Styles, Delivery And lyric Arrangements Of Well Known SAHB Songs Such As Vambo & Man In The Jar. There Are Two Versions Of Both Anthem And Tomahawk Kid And An Unreleased Song Not Heard Since 1974, When It Was Recorded-'Ace In The Hole'. This Album Features 11 Songs And Includes A 20-Page Booklet With Photos And liner Notes From The Band.

Chris Sends His Sincere Apologies To Everyone Who Was Planning To Attend And To Special Guests Tigers On Vaseline, Who He Hopes Will Still Be Involved In The September Show. The Reason For This Is Due To Chris's Involvement With Michael Schenkers (MSG) Fast Approaching Tour Dates Which Is Taking Up More Of His Time Than First Anticipated. Julian Hutson Saxby - An Introduction
Ted Says - I worked with Julian back in the eighties when I had my own band, McKenna’s Gold. I think he was only 22 then, and he could play his ass off. I’d forgotten he was a SAHB fan too, and that the first LP he bought was SAHB Live.It was a happy coincidence that we'd got back in touch recently - but when Zal decided to leave and we decided to do the Nantwich gig, he was the obvious choice.I’m really looking forward to it... I just hope Julian doesn’t show us all up by knowing the songs better than we do! Ted X
And Now, Without Further Ado, Some Words From - Julian!
"GOOD EVENING, BOYS AND GIRLS..." If you're anything like me you still feel the creepycrawl on the back of your neck when you hear those words. Imagine how it feels on stage then... especially if it's your first time facing a roomful of mighty SAHBsters. Over the years a number of hardy souls have faced the job of being the new boy in the band. This time it's Julian Saxby - the tenth member of SAHB, the first non-Scot, and the first to attempt the job of replacing Zal Cleminson. I say 'replace', but we all know the routine by now: you can't replace, but you can develop. There's always a risk in doing that, so it's comforting to know a couple of things about our new axeman: firstly, he's been a SAHBster since he was 11; and secondly, he's been in a band with Ted before, so he won't be a completely unknown quantity when he takes to the stage with Max, Chris, Ted and Hugh at Nantwich in March. "Hearing the Live album was a pivotal moment for me," says the former Nina Hagen Band guitarist. "The Faith Healer riff made an instant and lasting impression - I loved it straight away and learned it straight away, on my jumbo acoustic. I used to get lost in the pictures on the sleeve, and I always wondered what it would be like to be one of them." As you might expect with a musician thought worthy of joining the gang, Julian thinks of himself mainly as a live performer, although he's spent plenty of time as a session artist. He says the do-or-die situation on stage pulls things out of him - and that playing to an audience clinches the moment. "The golden rule for me is to enjoy myself, and that means playing well," he says. "If I get that right, the rest follows. And with some of the songs I'll be playing I think it's going to be easy to get into the right mood. "Give My Compliments to the Chef has to be my favourite SAHB track, but now I'm learning a full set I'm discovering a world of new fun. And the Faith Healer riff is a guitarist's utopia - it gets to the core of what rock is all about." Like Tommy Eyre, Stevie Doherty, Billy Rankin and Mad Max before him, Julian's set to live that most unique of dreams: joining a group he loved as a fan. "Playing with the band I wondered at is going be some experience," he says. "I think people will realise very quickly that I, too, am a SAHB fan. My playing isn't like Zal's, but his pointy style has seeped into the influence pool, so it'll be worth listening to." And just before he hits the stage at Nantwich, Julian will be practicing one of his personal traditions - and it's something many Alex fans will find familiar. "There's a lot of waiting around before a show, so I get one of the musicians to slap me across the face to fire me up. It's even better if the guy who slaps me is another guitar player - that really does the trick."

Check out the new photographs from the side project of Zal Cleminson On the OSKURA - My Space page. Oskura formed in August 2007 By Zal Cleminson, Matt Black- (check out Matt in the meet n greet gallery) Jamie Mallender, Buzz Bardot & Danny Needham.
The photoshoot on the page is for the cover for the upcoming "Dark Angel" album and individual member shots for the official website,which is launched on November 07. Expect to see Oskura at a venue near you in early 2008!!

Legendary mime artist Marcel Marceau sadly passed away at the age of 84. Of interest to SAHB fans is
This is the man who in the early 70s Zal drew inspiration from when putting together his own clown persona.
And is well documented as saying that at that time he even went to see Marcel perform.
BIP,was Marceau's on-stage Character,dressed in a white sailor suit,a top hat with a red rose perched on top.
His biggest inspiration was Charlie Chaplin.Marceau, in turn, inspired countless young performers.
Michael Jackson borrowed his famous "moonwalk" from a Marceau sketch-Walking Against the Wind.

S.A.H.B In The Cellers!
Chris & Zal, turn up as special guests of The Rev.D.Wayne Love, for a low key jam at Glasgows Clutha Vaults,
Ending an evening's music with about 5 SAHB songs,
Zal kicked off both nights with a rare acoustic set profiling his new material.
The Monday night was a high spirited afair with Max & Ted turning up,unannounced,And soon got roped
in for for the SAHB songs, Also on stage was Sandy Watson,and Glasgow actor/musician John Morrison .
with superb heckling from Mr Maxwell during the Rev D's set,and what must be his best ad libbed version of framed ever.
A cool gig to see the legend of SAHB stripped raw. (rumerd by the venue to be repeated)
The Tuesday Night,was a whole differant Vibe, And was very laid back atmosphere,Just like being in a 1960s folk club.
Overall Verdict - 2 Great Contrasting Fun Nights Entertainment.

SAHB Played a storming set on the Saturday evening's 2nd FAN CONVENTION,2007
Hugh kicked it all off, with some brilliant solo compositions played the way only Hugh can.
Then came Zal,who debuted his accoustic set of cool new material.
The Power set is what the boys do best, and they didn't fail, with Stomping versions of long unheard classicks.
Among others,SAHBsters got treated to - Snakebite,and Rock Drill epic The Dolphins, & Who Murderd Sex.
And from Fourplay - Outer Boogie / Pick it up & Kick It( Hugh & Ted Singing a song each )

Digging even deeper, we got Tear Gas album gem - Jailhouse Rock with Max hamming it Elvis style.

Spotted in attendance at the gig was Spike from the Quireboys, who is a big fan of the band.
Also merchie legend Gibbie made a welcome return to the stall, complete with his trusty hat.
Overall Verdict- Bring On No 3!
